Learning through games and activities has consistently proved itself to have been a valuable part of teacher’s armoury. Being able to introduce an element of competition or fun into what might otherwise be a rather dreary lesson topic has proved a boon for both teacher and student alike. (see article “Gamification and ESL” ) Making use of online resources such as Kahoot etc, captures the interest and makes the learning fun. Nowhere is this more important than in the last few weeks of the school year, when the natural tendency to look forward to the upcoming holidays distracts from the necessity of learning.
