In this session we explore ways in which we might boost our students’ confidence, belief in their own ability and how we can encourage the growth mindset that will set our students up for success. To do this, we’ll look at classroom management strategies, implementing positive discipline techniques, and best practice in effective feedback. We’ll investigate how promoting collaboration and a sense of community in class will provide students with the tools they need to say “Yes, I can!”

She is a qualified teacher originally specializing in remedial English, and a teacher trainer with more than 15 years of experience in Italy and France. She currently serves as Educational Consultant for Oxford University Press and covers an extensive variety of topics in her work with Italy’s teachers of English.
Christopher Gritton, Senior Educational Consultant, Oxford University Press. He is a qualified teacher and expert teacher trainer in ELT didactics. He has experience as a teacher in state schools in the United Kingdom and Italy, as well as teacher trainer for Italian teachers of English at all levels. In his role as Senior Educational Consultant for Oxford University Press, he has provided a vast array of professional development courses, most recently leading courses dedicated to the linguistic and pedagogical formation of primary teachers.
